Installation policy: Installation prices are based on the assumption that your rooms are completely emptied when our installers arrive. Installation crews will empty rooms for an additional charge. Crews will not modify doors in the event that the new floor covering makes them difficult or impossible to open.
Hard surfaces and vinyl require a finish molding to be installed after the new floor is installed. Carpet City can provide vinyl base at an additional charge.
All base/moldings must be removed prior to installation of hard surfaces and vinyl. This service is available for a fee.
When installing new flooring in bathrooms it is required that the toilet be removed prior to installation.
Metal transitional pieces can be provided for an additional charge in areas where two types of flooring meet.
When installing vinyl over a wood underlayment there is no warranty unless our specific underlayment has been used and installed according to manufacturer specifications.
There is no guarantee on any flooring that has been loose laid.
Carpet City is not responsible for errors resulting from customer measurements.
As required by the state of Wisconsin construction lien law, builder hereby notifies owner that persons or companies furnishing labor or materials for the construction on owner’s land may have lien rights on owner’s land and buildings if not paid. Those entitled to lien rights, in addition to the undersigned builder, are those who contract directly with the owner or those who give the owner notice within 60 days after they first furnish labor or materials for the construction. Accordingly, the owner probably will receive notices from those who furnish labor or materials for the construction, and should give a copy of each notice received to his mortgage lender, if any. Builder agrees to cooperate with the owner and his lender, if any, to see that all potential lien claimants are duly paid
Purchaser agrees that any credit granted shall be paid promptly in accordance with terms and agreements, and that creditor may add one and one half percent (1-1/2%) per month to any balance owed.
In the event of default, purchaser agrees to pay an additional charge equal to the cost of collecting including agency and attorney fees and court fees and court costs incurred and permitted by laws governing these transactions.
All material is warranted by the manufacturer and Carpet City to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of one year from the date of installation.
Unless otherwise noted, customer acknowledges that cash and carry material has been picked up in satisfactory condition.
Seller shall not be responsible for any general, special or consequential damages arising from any defect or breach of this agreement by the seller and the sole liability of the seller from breach of warranty or otherwise shall be strictly limited, at the option of the seller, to either the return of the goods sold hereunder and the repayment of the purchase price or that the seller shall repair or replace the non-conforming goods.
75% deposit is required to place an order. A 40% restock fee will be applied to any canceled or returned orders. All material must be returned in at least 4 full unopened and undamaged cartons. Returns must be within 30 days of purchase.
There are no returns accepted on trim pieces, moldings or on carpet that has already been cut.
All overages on jobs that Carpet City measures will have a 10% waste allowance. Materials that fall within that 10% will not be returned.
A water and electric supply are required for any installation, this is not Carpet City’s responsibility
Extra charges will apply if unforseeable conditions are discovered.
We do not accept returns on closeout merchandise.
Vinyl planks, vinyl tile and sheet vinyl will telegraph all underlying imperfections. Floor prep cannot resolve all irregularities.
All wood floors scratch. Relative humidity must stay between 35% and 55%, this is not the responsibility of Carpet City.
All carpets need to be professionally steam cleaned every 18 months to maintain warranty coverage.
All products will have a shade/color variation from the original sample.
